The story, set in contemporary Southeast Texas, near the beach, revolves around Linzy and Sasha Everly,
sisters who are blessed with a near-perfect small-town life. The only worries they have are making good
grades in high school and helping out around the family's small pecan farm. Life is good. Until one
ordinary winter night when their parents are taken from them in a tragic accident. Their perfect lives are
upended in the space of a heartbeat ... and then things get even worse.
